Defeat Jeanne Shaheen in 2014 - DONATE TODAY

Concord – After Senator Shaheen refused to say whether President Obama would join her on the campaign trail while at the same time acknowledging she cast the deciding vote for Obamacare, the New Hampshire Republican Party released a new web video today, called “99 Percent.”

The video comes one day before Vice President Biden sets foot in New Hampshire.

The spot highlights Shaheen ducking questions from reporters about President Obama, who called Shaheen a “great senator” in an interview last week. It also includes Shaheen refusing to comment on new media reports indicating Obamacare would lead to health care premiums “skyrocketing” in smaller states like New Hampshire.

The video concludes with a picture of President Obama and Senator Shaheen standing side-by-side, and note the uphill battle she faces separating herself from the unpopular president, given her record of voting with him 99 percent of the time.

“Senator Shaheen can run, but she can’t hide from her loyal and unwavering support of the Obama-Biden agenda,” said NHGOP Chairman Jennifer Horn. “Every time President Obama has needed her, Senator Shaheen has been there for him, including the tie-breaking vote that gave us Obamacare.  With Vice President Biden in the Granite State tomorrow, Senator Shaheen should explain why she has voted for the Obama-Biden agenda 99 percent of the time and use the opportunity to invite both Biden and President Obama back to New Hampshire many more times between now and November.”

SHAHEEN: Well, the Affordable Care Act was passed by 60 votes, so…

TEXT: Shaheen votes with Obama 99 percent of the time

CONSTITUENT: Senator Shaheen, do you have a response to today’s newspaper article that says that health care premiums under Obamacare will skyrocket in small states like New Hampshire? Senator any response to today’s news article in The Hill? No Senator?

REPORTER: There’s no question his approval ratings have been down in New Hampshire, and Jeanne Shaheen’s going to have to find a way to separate herself from him, even though she’s voted with him 99 percent of the time.
