Concord - The New Hampshire Republican State Committee today announced that it is banning the Democrat-affiliated American Bridge from all party events after the group crashed the Ray Burton memorial service this weekend. WMUR-TV reported that an American Bridge tracker turned up at the non-partisan event to remember the beloved executive councilor on Saturday in a tasteless attempt to score political points by tracking Senator Kelly Ayotte and other Republicans.

"It is disgusting that a Democrat-affiliated group like American Bridge would politicize a memorial service and use this non-partisan event to try and score cheap political points," said NHGOP Chairman Jennifer Horn. "Clearly this classless liberal political organization has crossed the line, and as a result of its outrageous behavior, American Bridge trackers are immediately banned from all New Hampshire Republican State Committee sponsored events. Additionally, we will encourage all candidates, and local Republican committees to remove American Bridge staff from their events."

According to Politico, American Bridge is a liberal "oppo-slinging outfit" that tracks Republicans and assists Democrat candidates in competitive races such as Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Representative Annie Kuster and Representative Carol Shea-Porter. Roll Call reported that American Bridge "has become the opposition research hub of the Democratic fundraising apparatus, following Republican candidates on the trail, rooting around their closets for skeletons and furiously pumping out snarky Web videos." The Associated Press also reports that the organization is promoting Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential candidacy.
